Although Chris joined the band in 2000, he goes way back with Carlos and Paul. His solid drumming and endless energy keeps the band on their toes. Chris is one drummer an audience just loves to watch. Chris, like the rest of the band has a strong Southern Rock influence. His formal blues training came when he spent 7 years as drummer for Little Buster and the Soul Brothers. Drummers that most influenced Chris are Gene Krupa and Steve Gadd. Prior to joining Blue Roots, Chris had played with Stevie Cochran, joining him in Europe on more than one occasion. He also has been on tour in Japan with the Soul Brothers back in the 90's. As you can see, Chris plays on a Ludwig set.
